CITIES: AN URBAN LANDSCAPE
An Exhibition Curated ByIPAINTMYMIND
One Two Pru proudly presents Cities: An Urban Landscape, curated by Chicago nonprofit organization IPaintMyMind. This year-long, rotating exhibition highlights the dynamic cityscapes we call home through thought-provoking photography, painting, mixed-media and more. The partnership between One Two Pru and IPaintMyMind supports a shared mission to raise awareness and resources for Chicago’s underserved communities while showcasing the work of emerging Chicago-based artists. Located across from Millenium Park and The Art Institute of Chicago, One Two Pru is a cultural cornerstone of the city and the perfect space for the public to enjoy this community-focused experience.

Evan La Ruffa
IPaintMyMind founder Evan La Ruffa presents a photo series entitled ‘Post All Bills’ showcasing various walls throughout our urban landscape. Shot entirely on iPhone, the project started in New York City and has since expanded with most images found in Chicago or Los Angeles. Of course, these walls ultimately end up covered with bills for concerts, products and ads. Image courtesy of Evan La Ruffa

Russell Muits
‘Manholes’ is a series of urban relief prints by artist Russell Muits. Each piece captures a manhole cover from cities across the world — from Evanston, Illinois to Amsterdam. Using block ink and raw canvas, Muits unearths, reimagines, and pays homage to artisans of the past by preserving these relics through prints. Image courtesy of Philadelphia Inquirer

Ruben Aguirre
Rubin Aguirre is driven by drawing attention to underutilized infrastructure through mediums of abstraction, graffiti, formalism, and mural painting. Informed by architecture, his work plays with re-imagining public space, while investigating pattern, hard edge painting and color field. With forms inspired by typography, geographical terrain, and the human body, Aguirre’s compositions build a visual language often referencing the socio-historical background of each site location.
